Order Process

How do I place an order on your Web site?

Great question! All it takes is three simple steps:

Step 1: Select your magnet by either:

Step 2: Select quantity, provide design instructions, and upload any art you may have.

Step 3: Safely & securely checkout. Payment is NOT required until your design is approved!

NOTE: Payment is NOT required until you approve the design proof, to be sent via e-mail within 24 hours of submitting your order.

Is your Web site safe and secure?

Absolutely.  Our Web site is protected by GeoTrust SSL, which ensures your important information is always 100% safe and secure.  Period.

How long will it take before my custom printed magnets are ready for shipping?

After placing your order, you will receive a design proof of your magnets within 24 hours. After you approve your artwork and we receive payment your magnets will be produced within 5 business days (not including holidays), ready for shipping.  Production time does not include the day the order is received.  NOTE:  shipping may be delayed due to inclement weather and/or acts of God -we will do our best to inform you of the situation and make alternate arrangements, if necessary.

What if I cancel my order?

We require written notice via fax, e-mail or mail if you wish to cancel an order. Actual labor, material costs, and shipping costs incurred prior to cancellation will be charged.

Can I order less than 500 magnets?

Minimum quantity varies by product.  Depending on the item, including many magnetic calendars, minimums may be as low as 100.  For prices on quantities of more than 50,000 please contact us.

What do your prices include?

Our prices include everything BUT shipping.  Unlike many other companies artwork, set-up, full color magnet printing, an online design proof of your magnets, and consultative customer service is free. 

How are my magnets shipped?

Your marketing magnets will be shipped via FedEx ground. If you require a faster shipping method (or a rush order), please let us know. Shipping method and cost is to continental United States only. Hawaii, Alaska, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada and any other areas outside the United States are sent via USPS, which helps keeps shipping down.

How will I know the quality of your custom printed magnets without seeing them?

We manufacture our magnets in the United States out of the highest quality materials. Our magnets are strong, capable of holding 3-5 sheets of paper.  Of course, if you'd like to see for yourself please contact us and we'll send a free sample pack your way. We're sure you'll be as confident about the quality of our magnets as we are. 

What is the difference between indoor magnets and outdoor magnets?

Indoor magnets are meant to be kept indoors, outside of the elements.  Outdoor magnets, on the other hand, are thicker, stronger, and printed with UV resistant ink to weather the elements.  Additionally, outdoor magnets can be applied to moving items like cars, trucks, or vans. 

What is the thickness of your magnets?

Our magnets are 25mil thick -about as thick as a dime and can hold 3-5 sheets of notebook paper on the fridge. 

Are you magnets green & earth friendly?

Were taken a bit back by exploitative, petroleum derived green products shipped all the way from China.  Indeed, we truly believe the environmental and green movements of late are far greater than simple trends or PR stunts and warrant action. At Magnets.com we make it a priority to reduce our environmental imprint in part by:

  • Using: heavy metal, phthalate, and toxin free US made magnetic material consisting of approximately 77% recycled raw materials
  • Using: cardboard packaging made with at least 60% recycled materials
  • Offering: an assortment of corrugated cardboard magnets made with recycled components
  • Employing: a 100% paper free online order and payment system
  • Recycling: 100% of our office paper  

We realize its a start and will continue to become better informed so we can take additional steps to further reduce our impact.

Artwork

Do you charge extra for artwork?

No! We do not charge extra for artwork.  Please note:  during the proofing and approval process we allow a maximum of two free proofs. Additional proofs will be charged at $20 each. 

Often requested, product templates can be found on some product pages. If you don't see one, send us an e-mail and we'll happily send one your way.

Do you charge extra for more colors?

Whether you're looking for 1 color, 10 colors, or 10 million colors there are no additional costs.  In fact, we manufacture all of our magnets using a four color process, so your finished magnets will be produced with a professional, high-quality look and feel.

Can you color match exactly?

Keep in mind that all colors vary with the printing process and the color and surface of the material. Colors can also change under lamination, and variations may occur which are beyond our control. Although we do our very best to maintain the highest possible quality assurance, we cannot always guarantee exact color matches. If your order requires exact color matching (i.e. to your company logo or colors, etc.), please let us know and we will be make arrangements for special processing.

How do I supply artwork?

Good question! Check out our art guidelines  for our full artwork specifications.  You can supply finished artwork as well as materials for us to prepare the artwork (photos, text etc.).

What happens if I have multiple versions of my art?

Each copy change, up to 10 in total, is $30 each. Above 10 and it's $20 each. Do note you will be charged a rate for the total quantity of magnets ordered, vs. a quantity rate for each individual copy ordered. This can help you save a lot.

Payment Process & Shipping

When do I pay for my magnets?

Payment is required in full once your artwork has been approved.

How do I pay for my orders?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Personal Checks, Business Checks, Cashiers Checks, and Money Orders.

Who do I make the check or money order out to?

Do you accept C.O.D's?

No, C.O.D. orders are no longer accepted.

How much is shipping?

Shipping is calculated based on the size and quantity of the magnets you order. We ship with FedEx ground for most orders and can use your account if preferred. Other shipping methods and carriers are available. For orders to Hawaii, Alaska, US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada, or any other areas outside the United States, we use USPS which helps keep shipping fees down.

Do you ship to Canada?

You bet, via USPS.  We don't want to leave our friends to the north in the cold!

Do you ship to APO addresses?

Indeed. We're proud to be one of a handful of e-commerce sites that ship to APO addresses.

Do you offer refunds?

If your magnets have a manufacturing defect we will happily replace them free of charge. If there is an issue with the magnets independent of Magnets.com we are able to offer a discount on a replacement batch.

Do you sell wholesale to distributors?

You bet!  In fact, we created a reseller magnet Web site for ease of navigation and use.  Simply take a moment to register so you can view our prices and begin placing orders.
